This is a wildly unexpected and delicious side dish, that is sure to brighten up any meal. It is easy and sweet - with complex notes of coffee and cocoa to truly delight your guests!
It can also be turned into an easy dessert when paired with ice cream.
- 100g Mocha Chandler Honey
- 8 slightly underripe plums, halved with stones removed
- optional: 2 tablespoons of amaretto
Cover the bottom of a heavy pan with Mocha Chandler Honey. Warm the honey by placing it on a medium heat.
Add the plums, cut side down and cook for 5 minutes, until slightly browned. Turn the plums and cook for another 3 minutes, but do not allow them to become mushy.
Optionally top with amaretto for additional depth.
Serve on top of meats as a side dish, or top with honey as a sweet dessert.
